Off The Record

Off the Record This is PR without the filter. No perfectly crafted messaging, just real talk from a veteran publicist, agency owner, and ADHD mom who’s here to spill the tea on what really happens behind PR…off the record.

This isn’t your typical PR blog. Off the Record is where I share real stories, hard-earned lessons, and best practices from the trenches. It is created for fellow PR pros and in-house comms teams who crave more than recycled playbooks. We discuss what’s working in the field. We also cover what’s not working. Our focus is on how to evolve with the pace of media, startups, and executive comms.

And 78% of B2B marketers who share peer-driven insights and frameworks see higher engagement (Content Marketing Group). They outperform those publishing generic content. This space is here for a reason. It contributes to the collective know-how that helps all of us move faster. It allows us to pitch smarter and lead better.

PR can be isolating, especially when you’re juggling launches, last-minute press requests, and a sea of Slack pings. Off the Record is meant to break that isolation. Think of it as your unofficial back-channel. A place where battle-tested comms strategies meet candid commentary, and where we give ourselves permission to iterate out loud.

Whether you’re a solo consultant, agency partner, or leading in-house at a fast-moving startup, welcome. My goal is to leave you with something useful. A tactic to try. A POV to sharpen, or just the comfort of knowing someone else has been in that same PR scramble.

Subscribe, skim, or steal what works—I’m glad you’re here.
