The Short Version

18 years in PR. One focus: technology startups.

I’ve spent nearly two decades in public relations, including agency-side leadership roles, working almost exclusively with technology companies — from early-stage startups finding their first press coverage to later-stage companies preparing for major milestones.

I started lab.Comms to bring that experience directly to founders and comms teams, without the overhead of a traditional agency. I’m also a Washington State University alum, and I write Off The Record, a newsletter sharing unfiltered PR lessons from the last two decades.

Two Decades of Media Relationships

Nearly 18 years building real relationships with journalists, analysts, and editors who cover technology — not just a media list, but people who know and trust the pitches I send.

A Startup-Native Approach

I understand startup budgets, timelines, and priorities because I’ve worked almost exclusively with startups. Pricing and engagement models are built for startups.
